Ainsworth
Susan Ainsworth has spent her career developing and implementing 360-degree public representation strategies around the world. Her professional endeavors have taken her across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East where she has advised clients in diverse industries including finance, technology, real estate development, media, luxury goods, and hospitality. She also works with cultural institutions, nonprofits, NGOs, and academic institutions.
Susan established her consultancy practice in 2000 with a belief that marketing, communications, reputation management, and business development efforts should not be siloed. Over the past two decades, she has supported clients as they have launched startups, established family offices, expanded into new international markets, and even cultivated entire communities. Susan works one-on-one with C-suite executives serving as both a strategist and sounding board as they build their brands, navigate transition and transactions, and advance business goals.
Before establishing Ainsworth, Susan was the Vice President of Communications for the Cisneros Group of Companies, where she was responsible for all strategic and operational communications efforts and acted as the senior liaison to the international press across 39 countries. She served as Vice President of Communications for AOL Latin America and oversaw the launches of AOL-branded services in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. Prior to her tenure at CGC, she was the Vice President of Marketing and Media for Island Trading, the holding company of Island Records’ founder Chris Blackwell, and the Director of Public Relations and Marketing at The Box, the worldwide interactive music television network (now owned by MTV and rebranded as M2). Susan was also an editor and contributor to various magazines throughout the course of her career and is fluent in French and Spanish. Susan earned her degree from New York University.
